Brendan was born and raised in Little Compton, RI and attended primary and secondary school locally. At Union College (Schenectady, NY), he studied history and economics and played for the school’s lacrosse team. After graduating in the Spring of 2011, Brendan and classmate Mark O’Shea spent ten months living in Ddegeya. They were the fourth set of medium-term volunteers to work with Engeye through Union’s Minerva Fellowship Program. During this time, Brendan focused his efforts on helping around the clinic, teaching at a local primary school, and project managing the construction of a water catchment system. He also spent much of his time getting to know and enjoying the staff, community, and local lifestyle. Since his fellowship, Brendan has been living and working in Boston, MA. He currently works as an Associate Investment Director at Cambridge Associates, helping to advise clients on private investment portfolio management. He recently joined the Finance Committee and is eager to gain a new perspective of the Engeye organization.
