Choose a Need • www.chooseaneed.org

"It is our belief that the barriers involved with foreign aid do not excuse us from a human, societal, or religious obligation to do something, no matter how small. We believe that what we CAN do is choose a specific need that we see, or someone else shows us, and then work to meet that need in some small way, financially or otherwise, through our knowledge or gifts. The goal of ChooseAneed is to help make those of us who can do something more aware of these specific needs, and then to help facilitate the meeting of those needs."

Just Cause • www.jcause.org

Just Cause is dedicated to addressing disparities within the realms of HIV/AIDS, refugee/immigrant empowerment, genocide survivorship and human rights. They focus their efforts on providing stop-gap services to address the ongoing needs of newly arrived refugees in Atlanta who have reached the end of their initial resettlement benefits. Just Cause is also involved in numerous international projects and has recently partnered with Engeye on several exciting projects. For more information visit www.jcause.org.

Dr. Bob Paeglow, founder of Koinonia Primary Care, journeyed with us when we opened the doors at the Engeye Health Clinic and brought along the experience that he'd gleaned from more than 30 trips to Uganda.  He is one of the most  generous, compassionate, and selfless people that we have met, and we continue to be inspired by all he accomplishes in Arbor Hill, NY. http://drbobcares.com

American Medical Women's Association: AMWA/AWHS • link

The American Medical Women's Association (AMWA) and American Women’s Hospitals Service (AWHS) have provided Engeye with an emergency relief grant of one thousand dollars. The entirety of this grant will be sent to Uganda to aid in the continuity of the clinic- from salary payment to medication replacement. AMWA is a charitable program, dedicated to providing care to indigent and medically underserved populations of the U.S. and abroad, especially through programs that serve the needs of women and children. Misty Richards, one of Engeye's founders and current board members, is the national president of AMWA.
