Joe Freeman received his Doctor of Pharmacy at University of Illinois at Chicago in 2008 and his medical degree at Western University in Oregon in 2018. He is now working on his residency training in Anesthesiology at the University of New Mexico. He is a long-term volunteer and supporter of Engeye. Joe has made several short visits to Engeye starting in 2009 and was on-site for an 18-month stay (2011-2013) in Ddegeya with his wife, Kathy.

Joe is familiar with Engeye’s day-to-day operations on the ground, including the unique logistical challenges of working in our remote and resource-limited setting. While stateside, Joe offers pharmaceutical and technical advice for clinical and IT/EMR related issues.
